Submissions
Submission Preparation Checklist
As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
- Provide Cover Letter, Title Page, Contributor Role Taxonomy (CRediT), Declaration of Interest, an anonymized (blind) version of the full manuscript.
- The work/manuscript submitted is free of plagiarism and authors have not committed publication ethics violations.
- The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
- The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
- Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
- The manuscript has been written according to the provided template; and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
- The Article has been structured according to the template
- The manuscript has been thoroughly checked for spelling and grammar.
- The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the manuscript template provided.
- Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
- Permission has been obtained for the use of any copyrighted material (including figures or data) from other sources.
- All necessary files have been uploaded, including the main manuscript, keywords, figure captions, and tables (each with a title, description, and footnotes). Supplementary materials, datasets, and videos should also be included, if applicable.
- For open access articles, all authors acknowledge responsibility for the Article Processing Cost (APC) if the paper is accepted. The APC may be covered by the corresponding author’s institution or research funder.
