Submissions should demonstrate methodological rigor, strong theoretical foundations, and policy relevance. They typically range between 4,000 and 8,000 words.

 

Review Articles

This section features comprehensive and critical reviews of the literature on current or emerging topics in environmental sustainability, renewable energy, climate change, and related areas. Review articles should synthesize and evaluate existing research, highlight knowledge gaps, and identify future directions for research and policy development. Review articles tend to be longer, typically between 6,000 and 10,000 words, reflecting their broader scope.

 

Discussion Papers

This section presents analytical or theoretical discussions on pressing environmental challenges, policy debates, or conceptual advances in sustainability studies. Discussion papers should be supported by credible evidence and provide new perspectives or insights that can shape research directions and policy formulation. Discussion papers is typically up to 8,000 words.

 

Short Communications

Short Communications are concise reports that present innovative research findings, pilot studies, or new methodological approaches in environmental and sustainability sciences. These papers are intended to facilitate the rapid dissemination of timely and relevant findings of broad interest. These concise papers, usually no more than 3,000 words, allow authors to share preliminary results, novel methodologies, or significant observations that warrant rapid publication.

 

Letters to the Editor

This section publishes short, focused commentaries that respond to or critique articles previously published in SUSTINERE. These contributions, typically 1,000–2,000 words in length, provide readers with an opportunity to engage in scholarly dialogue by offering constructive feedback, clarifying interpretations, or extending discussions within the environmental sustainability community. Such correspondence enriches scientific exchange and supports the integrity and vitality of environmental research.
